The Parable of the Talents

Our wonderful mission team planned and led Collective Worship for the whole school this week based on the Parable of the Talents.

The children were asked to reflect on how they have used their God given talents wisely this year, and how they will aim to do this in the future.

We thanked God for all of our talents and thought carefully about what God is calling for us to be.

Sports Assembly 2018-19

Parents, staff and children attended a special Sports Assembly on Tuesday 17th July to recognise and reward some of the achievements of the pupils for 2019.

Black Country Swimming Gala Team: Boys & Girls Teams

Black Country Tag Rugby Team

Black Country KS 1 Gymnastic Team

Girls Football Team: Schools Football League winners and 3rd place for Hargate Cup

Boys Football Team: Runners Up in Schools Football League and Semi-finalist in Hargate Cup

Year 6 - The Lion King Production

Year 6 treated us all to a wonderful performance of ‘The Lion King’ on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The audience were in awe at the incredible singing and acting from our Year 6 children. Well done Year 6!

The Hagley Band Visit

On Monday, we were all treated to a wonderful performance by the Hagley Catholic Secondary School Band. Their theme for the morning was Punk! The children (and adults…) had a wonderful time listening to such talented musicians. Thank you to the Hagley band for providing such an entertaining morning for us.

Year 4 Visit to Dudley Zoo

Year 4 have had a very busy week this week and on Wednesday 10th July visited Dudley Zoo to further enrich their learning about habitats.

The children had a very interesting and fun time learning about the animals as wells as the history of the zoo. They also behaved superbly throughout the day.

Year 4 Sikh Gurdwara Visit

On Tuesday 9th July, Year 4 visited Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Smethwick as part of their multi-faith learning this year.

The children had a lovely time learning about the Sikh faith and had a tour of the beautiful place of worship.

Year 5 visit to The Stourbridge Cone House

On Monday 8th July, Year 5 visited the Stourbridge Cone House as a culmination of their learning about glass production in the midlands. The children saw how glass is made and also learnt about the importance of this industry to the Black Country.

Sports Days 2019

This week our EYFS, KS1 and KS2 children all took part in their annual sports days.

All of the children enjoyed the events and took part in the activities by displaying great sportsmanship.
