Holy Week Assemblies

Friday, 12 April 2019

Each class across school have led us on the journey taken by Jesus during Holy Week with beautiful assemblies each day this week.

We have welcomed Jesus into our hearts and thought closely about the range of emotions that Jesus would have experienced during this emotional time as he gave his life for us. We have thought about how humble and brave Jesus was and even at the point of his death he continued to think of others.

Thank you children for such beautiful assemblies this week.

Jasper's Beanstalk

Wednesday, 10 April 2019

April 2019
In Nursery we have enjoyed reading the story ‘Jasper’s Beanstalk’ by Mick Inkpen. We planted some beans, we watered them and over the next week we watched them swell and then a root and shoot grew.

Now our bean plants are big enough we have planted them in big pots so they can grow into an enormous beanstalk.

April 2019
In Nursery we have enjoyed reading the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. We have observed the ‘Life Cycle’ of a butterfly. Watching caterpillars grow and build a cocoon around themselves. We waited and waited and eventually the butterflies emerged from their cocoons.

Visit from SS118, Wroclaw, Poland

Tuesday, 2 April 2019

We were delighted to welcome staff from our new link school, SS118, from Wroclaw, Poland on the 26th and 27th March.

The staff were very impressed to learn all about our school and plans are now in place for projects involving both schools to begin – watch this space!

As ever, there were some lovely comments about our wonderful children and how welcoming they were to the visitors and knowledgeable when speaking about our school. Well done children!
